InfoPrint 75 and InfoPrint 100 User? "Turn out the lights, the party's over!"

We tried to warn you back in 2016 with our blog on the InfoPrint 75 and InfoPrint 100. when we wrote, "Don't be captive in the Ricoh cage with the InfoPrint 75 or InfoPrint 100."

Ricoh was bound to pull the plug on these great printers, and now it has happened. Service customers have received notice from Ricoh service that come April 1, 2021, there's no more service. We expect that their sole-source Ricoh toner availability will come to a screeching halt at the same time.

As Willie Nelson famously wrote and sang, "Turn out the lights, the party's over. They say that all good things must end. Call it a night! The party's over. And tomorrow starts the same old thing again." Except for InfoPrint users, as there is now a limit to those tomorrows.  March 31, 2021, to be exact.

In another great Willie song, he wrote "It's been so long now, but it seems now, that it was only yesterday! Gee, ain't it funny, how time slips away." The TIME IS NOW to include your replacement choice into the budget planning for this change that's now upon us.

Microplex F90HD - the Microplex SOLID F90HD

A SOLID PERFORMER.
In the marketplace for continuous-forms laser printers, the Microplex F90HD is a solid performer. In fact, the name Microplex SOLID F90HD indicates its heritage with other SOLID printers using the Microplex MPC Controller technology. 

SOLID CONTROLLER STRENGTH IN THE MICROPLEX F90HD. 
The MPC Controller has been a Microplex asset for more than 20 years in the making. The MPC is the basis of all the production CF continuous forms printers in the Microplex lineup. Customers may choose from the SOLID F40, SOLID F60HD, SOLID F90HD, and SOLID F166VS. All the standard and optional functions and the emulations are in the firmware of the embedded hardware controller.

EMULATIONS.
Controller emulations allow Microplex printers with the MPC to interpret print jobs. It can take print streams presented in other printer languages from other manufacturers. Those other commands convert to generate similar printouts for the equal output. A vital strength of the Microplex controller is to adapt these other printer languages across all print technologies. For example, some customers would like to use existing thermal printer data streams designed for a Zebra thermal. The MPC enables this job to move to a Microplex continuous form laser printer with ease.

IPDS SUCCESS WITH THE MICROPLEX F90HD.
Microplex has a long history of working with the IPDS language. IPDS is the choice for many IBM customers and others in the production print marketplace. Choose from a complete emulation of the venerable InfoPrint 62 or a more simple version. Customers can make a smooth move to the power of flash fusion printing with the Microplex F90HD.

GREAT PRINT QUALITY WITH THE MICROPLEX SOLID F90HD.
The Microplex F90HD comes with an improved flash fusion print engine coupled with the SOLID MPC Controller. This combination provides high-quality fusing of the characters, barcodes, and images. Customers can choose from a broad spectrum of media choices because of flash fusing. This technology has a far lower fusing temperature than other lasers with heat/pressure/roller fusing. The F90HD is a good choice for pressure-sensitive labels, tags, and high-tack adhesives. Many other specialty forms and media are possible with this printer.

New MicroPlex F40 Continuous Form Laser Printer with Flash Fusion

With a list price of under $25,000, the MicroPlex F40 is a great entry point to flash fusing printing. It can handle continuous labels and forms and media such as PE and PVC. It performs address printing and Cheshire Labels with USPS IMb with an affordable laser.

Impact Line Printers are often rated with their high-speed draft mode. The 1500 LPM Printronix P5215, P7215, and P8215 and the IBM 6400-015 and 6500-V15 line printers are actually 1125 LPM in DP data processing mode. It falls down to 600 LPM in Near Letter Quality if printing ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. It is even slower at 459 LPM if printing mixed cases with lower case characters.
